Obituary

Dawsonville, Georgia – Julia Louise Moore Greer, 88, of Dawsonville, Georgia, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Georgia, while surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 17, 2026, at Cobb Funeral Chapel, with Brother Benny Lafferty officiating. Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Pavo, Georgia.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 AM, Friday, July 17, 2026, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Casketbearers will be Christopher Greer, Leonard Cord, Gene Pate, Brady Pickett, Timmy Glenn, Dustin Roberts and Carol Dean.

Born September 23, 1937, in Morven, Georgia, she was a daughter of Robert Julian Moore and Esther Belle Robinson Moore, of blessed memory.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Conley C. Greer; son, Donald Glenn Greer; siblings, Robert “Bobby” Jackson Moore, Sr., Donald Grover Moore and Virginia Moore Pate.

Survivors include her son, Conley Greer and wife, Barbara; grandchildren, Christopher Greer, Samantha Greer, Julia Braswell Greer and Jackson Greer; step-grandchildren, James Hickman, Rachel Williamson and Maranda Braswell; great-grandchildren, Micah, Lavendar and Sasha; sister, Martha Lee Howard; daughter-in-law, Amanda Braswell-Greer; as well as several nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends.

She was a devoted member of Cornerstone Bible Fellowship Church in Perry, Georgia, and loved collecting recipes, cooking and working in her flower garden.

Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
