Hoover, Alabama – Joyce Dudley Jackson, 96, of Hoover, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Diversicare Riverchase in Birmingham, Alabama.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, May 4, 2026, at Cobb Funeral Chapel, with the Reverend Brian Harris officiating. Private interment is at Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Born February 16, 1930, in Russell County, Alabama, she was a daughter of the late Asa Eric Dudley and the late Marielle Cadenhead Dudley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul David Jackson; brother, Asa Eric Dudley, Jr; and a sister, Madeline Dudley Proctor.

Survivors include her daughter, Elandra Jackson Harris and husband, Jerry; son, Paul David Jackson, Jr.; grandchildren Brian Harris and wife, Angie and Ginny Prier and husband, Gavin; great-grandchildren Kinley Harris, Colton Harris, Jackson Prier, Brooks Prier, Cooper Prier and Sawyer Prier; as well as several nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends.

Until moving to Alabama to be closer to family, she was a member of First Baptist Moultrie, and she had retired as a Medical Secretary for Dr. Dale McGregor.

Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
