Americus, Georgia - Joseph Kenneth “Kenny” Saturday, 76, of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025.
Born on January 24, 1949, Kenny was the eldest of four children born to the late Joseph Saturday and the late Hilda Wills. Kenny attended Moultrie High School, graduating in 1967. He then bravely served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam from March 1971 to January 1972.
Upon returning home, he attended Moultrie Technical College while working at Riverside Manufacturing. His dedication to service continued when he then joined the United States Navy as an Aviation Electronics Technician, Petty Officer Second Class, proudly serving for 20 years before retiring.
Kenny will be fondly remembered for his infectious laugh and his love for his favorite Chihuahua, Buster.
He is survived by his son, Joseph Saturday; and his brothers, Don Saturday and Gary Saturday (Kjersti), and his sister, Diane Butterfield. “Uncle Kenny” was beloved by his nieces and nephews, Suzanne Wheatley (Clay), Steve Saturday (Sonja), Katrina Saturday (Ove), Kai Saturday, Brian Saturday (Angie), Benji Butterfield, Brenn Butterfield and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at 2:00 pm, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
