Joel Carl LLoyd

CUMMING, GA.- Joel Carl Lloyd, 68, of Cumming, GA, passed away Thursday, March 4, 2021 at his home.

          A graveside service will be 2:00 PM Monday, March 8, 2021 at Cobb-Suncrest memorial Gardens with Bishop King officiating.  Social distancing will be followed, and masks are recommended.

          Casketbearers will be Kyle Johnson, Alan Johnson, Terry Harp, Ronald Kelley, Joey Kelley and Preston Kelley.

          Born June 14, 1952 in Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Raymond Carl Lloyd and Edna M. Hays Lloyd.  Mr. Lloyd was a retired radiologist tech specialist from North Fulton Hospital and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  Mr. Lloyd loved his family, football, hunting, and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.  He always had the nicest lawn in the neighborhood.

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Terry Lloyd and Greg Lloyd.

          Survivors include his wife Helen Kelley Lloyd of Cumming, GA; children, Cassie and Jake Vasquez, Justin and Mindy Lloyd, Kyle and Melissa Johnson, Alan Johnson and Sandy and Terry Harp; grandchildren, Laurel Vasquez, Simon Vasquez, Jessica Lloyd, Jasmine Lloyd, Kylie Johnson, Parker Johnson and Casey Sharpe; brother and sisters, Brian Lloyd, Edna Lee Baker, Marybeth Brown and Colleen Schaffer.

          Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
