Jerry Dewayne Tidwell

MOULTRIE, GA – Jerry Dewayne Tidwell, 50, of Moultrie, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Julian Griner officiating. Interment will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive family and friends from 1:00 – 1:45 PM Thursday at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Casketbearers will be Jacob Tidwell, Brandon Mock, Tony Mock, Dylan Bailey, Adam Grubb, Rand Bryant and James McMurphy. 

Born November 24, 1975, in Sylvester, Georgia, he was the son of Doris Carey Tidwell of Moultrie and the late James Carl Tidwell. Mr. Jerry was a proud United States Marine veteran who served his country with honor and dedication. He was a loving father, brother, and son who deeply cherished his family and valued every moment spent with them. Mr. Jerry enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, especially spending time outdoors fishing. He was also a talented cook who loved preparing meals for family and friends, often found happily grilling and bringing everyone together with good food and laughter.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Carl Tidwell; twin sons, Christopher Michael Tidwell and James Alexander Tidwell.

In addition to his mother, Doris Carey Tidwell, survivors include his children, Jacob Tidwell and wife Simran, Karly Tidwell; sister, Jenna Mock and husband Brandon; grandmother, Annie Bryan; significant other, Jessica Allegood; and fur baby, Roscoe; and several extended family members and friends.

Memorial donations may be made to the Veterans Association.
