Jerry Little, 81, of Moultrie, died Sunday, October 11, 2020 at Pruitt Health-Moultrie.
A memorial service will be held 2:00PM Friday, October 16, 2020 at Cobb Funeral Chapel. Interment with military honors, will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens. Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and due to military honors being performed, masks are mandatory for all attendees.
Born December 1, 1938 in Delaware, OK, he was the son of the late William Lawrence Little and Ida Mae Roach Little. Mr. Little retired from the United States Navy where he served as a cryptologist. He completed many deployments on submarines during his naval career. He later retired from the United States Post Office in Moultrie earning 50 years of combined government service. Mr. Little enjoyed being outdoors, loved horses, gardening, taking care of his grape vines and cooking. He was a family man who was devoted to his wife of 53 years, Mrs. Peggy Little. He dearly loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John Little, Darrel Lee Little, William L. Little II; sister, Edna Mae Carpenter.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Joyce Brannon Little of Moultrie; children, Cynthia Diann Anderson of Redman, OR, Tony Ellis and wife Kathy of Moultrie, John Paul Ellis and husband Brian Menges of Atlanta, Jerry Wayne Little and wife Detra of Moultrie; grandchildren, Brooke R. Wingate and husband Garrett, Tara M. Anderson, Travis Anderson, Justin Little and wife Laura, Amber Hanberry and husband Brock; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Steve Little of Nowata, OK; sisters, Bea Stout and husband Ronald of Broken Arrow, OK, Lyn Mori and husband Bob of Roseville, CA, Doris June Collins and husband Bill of South Coffeyville, OK.
