Jean Psalmond

MOULTRIE, GA – Jean L. Psalmond, 81, went home to Jesus on Wednesday, August 4, 2021.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Funston Baptist Church.

Born March 26, 1940 in Beloit, Kansas, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Gordainer and Alice (Sadler) Gordanier. She moved to Ocean Springs, Mississippi and then to Moultrie, Georgia, where she lived for 34 years. Jean was a homemaker and a member of Funston Baptist Church. Mrs. Jean dearly loved her family and grandchildren and was proud of all of them. She was an avid pet lover.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Psalmond and son Leroy Cates.

Survivors include her sister, Beverly Walker, her children, LeeAnn Streetman and husband Brad, Michael Humbers and wife Diane, Lynn Hughes and husband Marshall, Krissy Mendoza and husband Henry, Stacy Burr and the late Jon Burr; 11 grandchildren; Matthew Streetman, Gage Humbers, Kenneth Humbers, Jeremy Sumner, Samantha Mays, Lauren Weber, Brianna Lehr, Waylon Mendoza, Jakob Mendoza, Caleb Burr, Joshua Burr, and four great-grandchildren. Two grandchildren are actively serving in the United States Military.
