MOULTRIE, GA.- Jean Marie Layton Cooper, 79, of Moultrie, Ga, died Saturday, November 19, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her family.
A private graveside service will be held at New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Born December 19, 1942, in Thomas County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow Layton and Inez Hutto Layton. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Cooper enjoyed making ceramics, fishing and especially taking care of her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Cooper; brother, Bobby Layton; sister, Dean Harvey.
Survivors include her son, Steven Cooper; grandchildren, Payton Cooper, Amberly Cooper, Aralyn Cooper and Balen Cooper.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
