Pavo, Georgia – Jackie Lafaye Smith, 76, of Pavo, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center, with her family by her side.
In keeping with her wishes, she was donated to the Philadelphia School of Osteopathic Medicine, Moultrie, Georgia Campus, to help further the education of our upcoming generation of doctors.
Born September 25, 1949, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late J.C. Bozeman and the late Lizzie Oretha Burdett Bozeman Martine.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sons, Christopher and Gene; and a brother, Tony Jack.
Survivors include her husband, Marty E. Smith; sons, Kelly Steve Thompson, Sean Noss and Aaron Brown; numerous grandchildren; and a sister, Darlene Freeman.
A dedicated homemaker, she enjoyed crocheting, woodworking, painting, gardening, as well as arts and crafts.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
