Ivey Louis Brown, aged 55, transitioned from this world on May 17, 2024, at his residence in Moultrie, Ga. He was born on February 27, 1969, in the same city he called home throughout his life.

The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Moultrie at 2:00 PM with Rev. Stanley Norman officiating.  Interment will follow in Pine Grove Church Cemetery.  

The family will received friends on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cobb Funeral Chapel. 

During his time on Earth, Ivey devoted his career to working in construction for Barbers Contractors, where he displayed exemplary dedication and craftsmanship. His commitment and skill in his profession left a lasting impression on those who had the pleasure of working with him.

Outside of work, Ivey's vivacious spirit and warm heart endeared him to many. He was known for his sense of humor, always ready with a joke to bring a smile to the faces around him. Fishing was one of his greatest passions, finding solace and joy in the peaceful moments spent by the water. Additionally, Ivey was an avid sports enthusiast, particularly rooting for the Georgia Bulldogs and the Colquitt County Packers.

Above all else, Ivey cherished time spent with his family and children. He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Ivey Louis Brown is survived by his loving wife Gwendolyn Brown of Moultrie; Samantha Brown daughter and friend Troy Jackson of Moultrie; he is also survived by his siblings: George "Buddy" Brown, William "Hoppy" Brown, Carl Brown and wife Lana, Wanda Croft, Brenda Yarbrough, Shirley Campbell and husband Ritchie, Mary Drusko and husband Stephen. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who adored their uncle dearly.

Mr. Brown is proceeded in death by his father George Brown, His mother Martha Faye Brown, and his two children Dustin and Rebecca Brown. 

In remembrance of a life well-lived and a soul deeply loved, may we find comfort in the memories we shared with Ivey. May he rest in eternal peace.

Memorial contributions can be made to Colquitt Regional Hospice or to the Leukemia and Lymphoma society.
