Iris Livisa Saxon Poole

Iris Livisa Saxon Poole passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA. She was 81 years old. Iris was born on March 25, 1940 in LaGrange, GA. She had been living in Poulan, GA at the time of her death.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, Dec. 31, at Cobb Funeral Chapel, 2441 GA HWY 37 W, Moultrie, GA.  Interment will follow at Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens following the services.

Iris is the daughter of the late Joseph Cornelius and Naomi Ruth Rice Saxon.  She lived in Tifton, GA for the first 7 years of her life.  The family then moved to Moultrie, GA where she graduated from Moultrie Senior High School.  She married Donald Poole in 1961.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, JoAnn Tucker, and brother Mike Saxon.

She is survived by her children Johnny Poole, Donna Burrell (Lynn), Brenda Poole, Gwen Horne (Wesley), Danny Poole, Jenny Garlock (George), her stepchildren Tina Eubanks (Jimmy), Tonya Poole, Brian Poole (Christina), 18 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.   She also leaves behind her sister, Cheryl Cook (Darrell) and brother, Dwain Saxon (Jamie).
