Moultrie, Georgia – Hazel Ella Griner Boyd, 100, of Swainsboro, Georgia, formerly of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2026, at Emanuel County Nursing Home.

A service to honor and commemorate her life is 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Trinity Baptist Church, with the Reverend Nick Dawson officiating. Along with her late husband, she will be privately inurned at Riverside Cemetery in Marianna, Florida.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 AM, Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Trinity Baptist Church.

Born December 9, 1925, in Dundee, Florida, she was a daughter of Zelmer Franklin Griner and Odessa Johnson Griner, of blessed memory.

In addition to her parents, she is reunited in Heaven with her husband, Claude Kirskey Boyd; sisters, Margaret Griner Moore and husband, John Richard “Dick” Moore; and Geraldine Griner Rosborough and husband, Otis A. Rosborough, Jr.; brother, Silas Cleo Griner; and nephew, William F. Locke and wife, Malta.

Survivors include her brother, Robert “Bob” F. Griner; special niece, Linda Watson and husband, Joe; special nephew, Craig Griner and wife, Lisa; many other nieces and nephews; great-nieces, Brianna Hendrix and husband, Alec and Amanda Telgen and husband, Robert; great-nephews, Jack Hendrix, Darin Griner and wife, Hillary and Jason Griner; many great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; special friends and their families, Marsha Bell and husband Cleve, Charlie Bell and wife, Sara, Andrew Bell, Matthew Bell and wife, Jamie and Tillman Bell; as well as many other friends.

Mrs. Boyd devoted many years of her professional career to Riverside Manufacturing Company, where she faithfully served as Administrative Vice President. She was a dedicated and faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church, where her quiet faith, gracious spirit, and steadfast love for others were evident in the way she lived each day. She will be remembered for her kindness, unwavering Christian faith, and the genuine love she shared with her family and friends throughout her remarkable century of life.

She found great joy in traveling, and she and her beloved husband, Kirk, shared a passion for exploring the world together, creating treasured memories through their many adventures. Her legacy of faith, grace, compassion, and love will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Trinity Baptist Church of Moultrie.
