Gurland Jackson Jordan, Sr.

Moultrie, Georgia – Gurland Jackson Jordan, 95, of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Cobb Funeral Chapel, with the Reverend Jason Sellars officiating. Interment will be at Live Oak Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 2:45 PM, Sunday, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Born February 26, 1930, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was a son of the late William Jackson Jordan and the late Sallie Nancy Giles Jordan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Marie Perkins Jordan; children, Glenn Millard Jordan, Gurland Jackson Jordan, Jr. and Catherine Marie Jordan Youngblood; siblings, Mozelle Coleman, Doris DeLong, Catherine Odelle Jordan Cato, William Jordan, Burnett Jordan and Eddie Jordan; brothers-in-law, Carl Goodroe, Ralph Rowe and Grady Asbell.

He was truck driver, and in his earlier years, was a farmer and worked in land clearing. His family describes him as a jack of all trades.

Survivors include his sons, Mike Jordan and Matthew Jordan; grandchildren, Kimberly Reynolds and husband, Bryan, Sara Barron and husband, Dewayne, Matthew Jordan, Jr. and wife, Terron, Tyler Jordan and Kayla Jordan; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Lois Goodroe, Faye Rowe and Virginia Asbell; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to Colquitt Regional Hospice.
