Gertie Ann Mason Stafford

Gertie Ann Mason Stafford, 77, of Moultrie, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Moultrie Church of God with the Reverend Ricky McLaughlin officiating.  Interment will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Casketbearers will be Billy Howell, Rod Howell, Jeff Boyd, Jason Boyd, Larry Boyd, Billy Ollis, Russ Davis and Bryce Stafford.

Born July 27, 1944, in Berlin, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Robert Osborn Mason and Blanche Pridgen Mason.  Mrs. Stafford was the former co-owner of Flower by Barrett, a loving housewife and an active member of Moultrie Church of God.  She was a selflessness, compassionate, and caring lady who was the heart of the family.   The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the nurses at Colquitt Regional Medical Center who took care of her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Stafford; siblings, Lavada Folds, Sue Rozier, Raymond Mason and Junior Mason.

Survivors include her children, Marty Stafford and wife Traci of Valdosta, Brenda Barber and husband Tim of Moultrie; grandchildren, Taylor Barber and wife Elizabeth Ann, Bryce Stafford, Anna Ensley and husband Spencer, Avery Barber and fiancé Denzell Gowdy; great-grandchild, Keegan Barber; siblings, Christine Boyd and husband Junior of Berlin, Gayle Boyd and husband William of Berlin; several nieces, nephews and extended family members; special friend, Roy Casey of Moultrie.    

Memorial contributions may be made to the GA Sheriff’s Boys Ranch, 5671 Boys Ranch Road, Hahira, GA. 31632.
