Gary Wayne Gregory

Gary Wayne Gregory, 79, of Doerun, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2024, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Gordy New Bethel Cemetery in Sylvester, GA, with Dr. David Benton officiating and assisted by Mr. Matt Murphy.  

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at Cobb Funeral Chapel. 

 Born March 28, 1944, in Moultrie, GA, he was the son of the late James Allison Gregory and Clara Kathleen Brumbelow Gregory.  Mr. Wayne was a self-employed carpenter/fabricator and was a member of First Baptist Church of Doerun.   He was a wonderful father/grandfather, who cherished the time he spent with his family and friends.  Mr. Wayne enjoyed woodworking, going hunting and fishing.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Winona Hortman Gregory; daughter, Pamela Diane Gregory; siblings, Ray Gregory, Eunice Boatwright.

Survivors include his son, Timothy Wayne Gregory and wife Lori of Doerun; grandchildren, Taylor Gregory, Dawson Gregory; canine companion, Monkey; best friend, Mickey Crowell.
