Gail Flowers Sloan

MOULTRIE- Gail Flowers Sloan, 79, of Moultrie, died Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at Tallahassee Memorial Regional Medical Center.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 27, 2020, at Midway Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Jackson officiating.  The family will receive guests one hour prior to the service.  Private interment will follow in Midway Cemetery.  Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and masks are recommended.

Casketbearers will be Jonathan Harvin, Reese Grantham, Blake Jenkins, Cody Jenkins, Abry Sloan, and Brooks Sloan. 

Born December 20, 1941, in Pavo, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Lucille Flowers.  She was a member of Midway Free Will Baptist Church, where she served as a deacon’s wife and Sunday School teacher.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Grady B. Sloan, Sr.; parents, Charlie and Lucille Flowers, parents-in-law, Wright and Ruth Sloan; brother, Frank Flowers; sister-in-law, Gwen Day; brothers-in-law, Ray Luke, Jimmy Wyatt, Vance Carter, Guy Carter, and Pete Hunter.

Survivors include her four children, Burnie Sloan and wife Katrina of Kathleen, Ga., Sonja Benton and husband Ralph, Ranee Bostick and husband Kenny, Cindy Harvin and husband Art, all of Moultrie; grandchildren, Jonathan Harvin and wife Savannah, Jessica Grantham and husband Reese, Jana Harvin, Blake Jenkins and wife Kendra, Cody Jenkins, Abry Sloan, Brooks Sloan, Trey Benton and wife Ansley;  great-grandchildren, Millie Harvin, Jon Grady Harvin, Lydia Grantham, Hayes Grantham, and Dallas Jenkins: sisters, Ernestine Carter, Harriet Seely and husband Jerry; sisters-in-law, Bobbie Carter, Jeannette Luke, Doris Hunter, Patricia Wyatt, Betty Flowers; and brother-in-law, Selby Day.
