Albany, Georgia – Freddy Wayne Wisham, 79, of Albany, formerly of Moultrie, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Willson Hospice House in Albany, Georgia.

Graveside rites will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, June 14, 2026, in Westview Cemetery, Moultrie with Mr. Neil Wisham officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 PM Sunday, at Cobb Funeral Chapel in Moultrie, Georgia.

Born December 31, 1946, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was the son of the late Simmie Stephens Wisham and Agnes Pate Wisham. Mr. Freddy was a proud United States Navy Veteran. He dedicated many years to educating others as an instructor of Drafting and Mechanical Design at Albany Technical College, from which he retired. In his free time, he enjoyed shooting pool, working on cars, and watching NASCAR and drag racing. Mr. Freddy was a man who deeply loved and cherished his family. His warmth, generosity and devotion to those he loved will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Lora Gay, Hilda Watt, Irma Olenkamp, Dickie Wisham, Danny Wisham, Bonnie Giddens and Kenny Wisham.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Vera Lynn Hardin Wisham of Albany; sons, Christopher Solon Wisham and wife, Joan of Lincolnton, North Carolina, Neil Hardin Wisham and wife, Samantha of Albany, Georgia; grandchildren, Zachary Ryan Wisham and husband, Daniel Suttles, Leigh Wisham Gomez and husband, Tyler; great-grandchild, Ava and Haidyn; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.

Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
