Moultrie, Georgia – Franklin Deal Hanna, Sr., 92, of Moultrie, Georgia, peacefully passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at his residence.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 PM, Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Born August 1, 1933, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was a son of the late George Calhoun Hanna and the late Julia Myrtle Cook Hanna.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jeri Ann Griffin Hanna; and brother, George Rufus Hanna.

Survivors include his sons, Franklin Deal “Hank” Hanna, Jr. and wife, Angela, Marshall Scott Hanna and wife, Syndi, Curtis James Hanna; grandchildren, Corey Michael Hanna, Holly Lynn Hanna, C.J. Hanna, II, Tylar Hanna; great-grandchild, Laiken Hanna; sister-in-law, Edna Hanna; as well as several nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends.

After college, he went to work for C&S Bank, where he retired at the age of 55 as Vice President. He loved being on his sailboat and was considered by many to be a master sail boater.

Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
