Frank Harris Perry, Jr.

July 25, 1946 — March 6, 2022

Frank Harris Perry, Jr. age 75, of Moultrie, GA passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at Archbold Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Cobb Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Frank was born in Moultrie on July 25, 1946, to Frank Harris Perry, Sr. and Virginia Lanier Perry.  He graduated from Colquitt County High School and attended ABAC College.  Over the years, he farmed, worked for Vigortone Ag Products, owned a deli in downtown Moultrie, finished out his career with Worldwide Vinyl and was a proud member of the Loyal Order of Moose.  To know Frank was to love him, as he never met a stranger and had both a laugh and smile that would light up any room.  He was happiest on the family farm and loved all animals – especially his dogs and horses, the Georgia Bulldogs – win or lose, and most importantly he loved his children and grandchildren fiercely.  When leaving friends, he shook hands and told them to be careful and for family, his goodbyes always included a hug, kiss and an I love you.  Family and tradition were at the heart of his spirit and something he tried to pass along from an early age.  This included sharing meals at the table, fishing at the back pond, riding fields at the farm, hunting in the woods, delivering honey to friends and family, taking in sunrises and sunsets, telling stories, and watching oldies like Gun Smoke or anything with John Wayne.  He was a champ at trivia, loved cokes, crackers and reading, sneaking moon pies to his grandchildren, and traveling the world through National Geographic and if you were lucky enough you would hear some of his favorite sayings such as “come go with us”.  In the eyes of some he may have not had much, but for those who knew him, knew he gave like he had the world.  We as a family are beyond blessed to have had such a wonderful man guide, support, encourage, and love us all the days of our lives and while his light on earth is no longer here, he lives on in each of us.  He is now fully restored in heaven, and we will see him again one day.

Survivors include the mother of his children: Janis Perry, Moultrie, GA; four children: Frank Harris Perry, III (Karen) in Lexington, KY, Joshua Allen Perry (Hillary) in Berlin, GA, Emily Perry Davenport (Jason) in Valdosta, GA, Daniel Clark Perry (Torrie) in Berlin, GA; sister: Katherine Ricker in Citrus Heights, CA; eight grandchildren Raven Munoz in Wilmington, NC, Chase Perry in Atlanta, GA, Sarah Perry in Savannah, GA, Jade Johnson in Whigham, GA, Evan Johnson in Berlin, GA, Taylor Perry in Lexington, KY, Clark Davenport in Valdosta, GA, John Harris Perry in Berlin, GA; and numerous cousins and extended family members.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Loyal Order of Moose – Lodge #1158, P.O. Box 1088, Moultrie, GA 31776 or the Georgia Sheriff’s Boys Ranch, 5671 GA-122, Hahira, GA 31632.
