Francis Jefferson "Jeffrey" Willeby

MOULTRIE, GEORGIA - Francis Jefferson “Jeffrey” Willeby, 62, of Moultrie, passed away Monday, September 28, 2026, at PruittHealth- Magnolia Manor.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Terry Siniard and the Reverend Julian Griner officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM – 2: 45 PM on Thursday at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Casketbearers will be Kennon Snipes, Wes DeMott, Tyler Pifer, Jr. Willeby, Tim McKee.

Born August 10, 1964, in Moultrie, Georgia, Jeffrey was the son of the late Walter Jefferson Willeby and Brenda Lafaye Vinson. Jeffrey was a kind and wonderful person who brought joy to those around him. He was loved and enjoyed by many. He especially enjoyed spending time with his friends at McKee’s Muffler Shop, where he shared many good times and created lasting memories. Jeffrey also enjoyed swimming and working in his yards and looked forward to the simple moments of enjoying life and spending time with those he cared about. He will be remembered for his friendship and the special memories he made with the people who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lisa Dianne Willeby; grandparents, Opal and Monroe Taylor and Nellie and S.T. Willeby; uncles, J. T. Willeby, Felton Willeby, and Tex Willeby.

Survivors include his sister, Daphne Rabon; niece, Tiffany Hall; great-nephew, Kennon Snipes, great-nieces, Annaleigh Warren and Preslee Hall; aunts and uncles, Nerita and Richard Bachelor, Merle and Tommy Willeby, Geneva Willeby and Marie Brooks; numerous other nieces, nephew, cousins, and several other extended family members and friends.

Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
