Eva Mae Cook Clayton

August 4, 1924 — February 1, 2020

Eva Mae Cook Clayton, 95, of Moultrie, died Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Legacy Village at Park Regency.

          Funeral service will be held 2:00PM Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Woods officiating.  Interment will be in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.

          The family will receive friends from 1:00PM-2:00PM Wednesday at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

          Casketbearers will be Jeffrey Durrence, Gary Broom, Brian Robinson, Glen Clark, Doug Howell and Dr. Timothy Fagan.  The Colquitt Regional Volunteers “Bluebirds” will serve as honorary escorts.

          Born August 4, 1924 in Star City AR, she was the daughter of the late Elijah Thomas Cook and Lottie Lee Railey Cook.  Mrs. Clayton was a homemaker, member of First Baptist Church of Moultrie and she served as a Bluebird with CRMC.  Her family remembers how she was very talented with floral arrangements and making crafts.

          Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Marvin Dwight Clayton of Moultrie; daughter, Linda Joan Case Ervin and husband Roger of Eatonton GA; grandson, John Robert Kitchens of Cumming GA.
