Moultrie, Georgia – Eunice Pearl Riggs Kelly, 88, of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Pine Grove Baptist Church, with the Reverend Stanley Norman officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 PM, Wednesday, at Pine Grove Baptist Church.
Casketbearers will be Tommy Strickland, Timothy Strickland II, Chucky Boyd, Andy Brinkley, Buddy Bryan, Hunter Brinkley and Mitch York.
Honorary casketbearers will be the Senior Adult Sunday School Class.
Born June 1, 1937, in Doerun, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Elijah Thomas Riggs and the late Georgia Belle Parker Riggs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Allen Kelly; daughter, Katrina Buckner; daughter-in-law, Carol Strickland; and siblings, Julius Ceasar “JC” Riggs, Gladys Irene Riggs Baker, Ruth Riggs Welch Burns, Sarah Virginia Riggs Reese, Dorothy Riggs Wills, Linda Kay Riggs Boyd, George Thomas Riggs and an infant sister.
A talented beautician and cosmetologist, she served the community for many years. She was a faithful member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, where she was very active, singing in the church choir and was a member of the Senior Adult Sunday School Class. She was a Godly woman who dearly loved the Lord and loved attending church. She was also a talented singer and has written several Gospel songs that have been copyrighted. More importantly, she loved devoting time to her family and friends.
Survivors include her children, Thomas “Andy” Strickland, Tim W. Strickland and wife, Tammy, and Sandra A. Strickland; grandchildren, Tommy Strickland and wife, Shanna, Terri Collier, Cathy Deojay and husband, Art, Melinda Garren, Tasha Brinkley and husband, Andy, Brandie Bryan and husband, Buddy, Michelle Greene and partner, Mitch York, Belle Strickland Campbell and husband, Maclay, Timothy Strickland and Emily Strickland; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Gospel Mission.
