Statesboro, Georgia – Eunice Alderman was born on December 10, 1931, in Moultrie, Georgia, to Walter Madison and Lilla Bell Meadows. She was the youngest of eight siblings: Raymond, Mildred, Edgar, Loyd, Reatha, Agnus, and Pete.

Eunice was married to Jack Thomas Alderman for 52 years until his passing on December 26, 2003. Jack was one of six children, all now deceased: Myrtle Alderman, D. H. Alderman (Faye Tucker), Nell Alderman Eubanks, James Alderman (Faye Tucker) and John B. Alderman (Ellen Dekle).

Eunice and Jack had three children: Jack Thomas Alderman, Jr. (Tom and wife, Sandi), Reginald Timothy Alderman (Reggie and wife, Lisa), and Angela Alderman Chilen (Angie and husband, Roger). She was also a proud grandmother to eight and a great-grandmother to eleven.

As a pastor's wife, Eunice radiated love and compassion throughout her church and community. Whether mentoring youth, supporting young couples, or visiting senior adults, she offered a welcoming smile and a gentle spirit. Her home was open to all while she balanced her roles as a devoted wife, mother, and active participant in Sunday School and the Women's Missionary Union (WMU).

There will not be a public service; however, a graveside gathering of family to celebrate her life will be at Salem Baptist Church cemetery in Sylvester, GA. In place of flowers, please consider donations to the Ogeechee Area Hospice, 200 Donehoo Street Statesboro, Georgia 30458, 912-764-8441.
