Eula Giles Purvis

MOULTRIE, GA – Eula Giles Purvis, 95, of Moultrie, passed away Friday, February 4, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Deacon Carl Wisenbaker and Reverend Zack Griffin officiating.  Interment will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.

The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Born December 14, 1926, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late James Jim Giles and Mamie Estelle Worrell Giles Ledford.  Mrs. Eula retired from Swift and Company as a meat cutter and was a member of Moultrie Church of Christ.    She loved the Lord, her family and church family dearly.  Mrs. Eula enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and camping.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Purvis; sister, Mary Lee Foster; brothers, Charles Ledford, Jess Giles, Simon Paul Giles and Wallace Ledford; daughter-in-law, Regina Lynn Purvis.

Survivors include her son, Dicky Purvis of Moultrie; grandchildren, Stephany Lynn Gibbs, Terri Nicole Purvis, Heath Fisher Purvis and wife Mary; great-grandchildren, Makena, Brieana; siblings, Emma Hall, Pauline Hazleton, Lorene Hullmun, Betty Bennett, Judy Taylor, constant canine companion, Jack; numerous extended family members and friends. 

Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
