Erma Jean Sellers Sheffield

November 3, 1936 — April 26, 2020

Erma Jean Sellers Miller Sheffield, 83, of Moultrie, died Sunday, April 26, 2020 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

          Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, a graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at Pinecrest Memory Gardens with the Rev. Rodney Nix officiating. 

          Born November 3, 1936 in Moultrie, she was the daughter of the late Fred Robert Sellers and Atha Matilda Purdue Sellers.  Mrs. Sheffield retired from Riverside Manufacturing Company as a seamstress and was a member of Grace Freewill Baptist Church.

      In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Sheffield, Sr.; son, Oscar Lynn Miller; daughter, Matrah Sue Willis; brothers, Rev. James “Shot” Sellers, Haywood Sellers and H.D. Sellers; sisters, Wilma Newsome, Matrah Smith, Marie Sellers and Euphema Sellers; step-sister, Nadine Lamb; step-brothers, Sanford Davis and Lanford Davis.

          Survivors include her children, Edward J. “Joey” Sheffield, Jr. and wife Angie, Fred Robert Sheffield all of Moultrie; grandchildren, Stephen Sheffield, Robbie Sheffield and wife Amber, Melissa Winker, Michael Sheffield and wife Samantha; great-grandchildren, Dylan Sheffield, Harley Sheffield, Devon Sheffield, Katelyn Sheffield; sisters, Nadine Bryant of Moultrie, Ellen Carlton of Albany.
