Emily J. Jacobs

Moultrie, GA – Emily J. Jacobs, 86, of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Cobblestone Rehab and Healthcare Center surrounded by her family.

Services are being planned.

Born November 22, 1938, in Pine Mountain Valley, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Idus Lawton McCurry and Annie Florine Shoffeitt McCurry.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Millie Jo Faith Jacobs; siblings, Wilma Heath, Harold Lawton McCurry and Harry Thomas McCurry.

A dedicated seamstress for many years at Riverside Manufacturing Company, she enjoyed her grandchildren, spending time with family, gardening and sewing.

Survivors include her children, Tammy Murphy and husband Michael, Ronald Jacobs and wife Leticia; grandchildren, Matthew Murphy, Jacob Murphy and wife Keri, Caleb Murphy, Michael Jacobs and wife Cassie, Alyssa Jacobs; great-grandchildren, Owen Murphy, Jack Murphy, Carson Murphy, Sawyer Jacobs, Finn Jacobs, Everley Ann Jacobs; siblings, Ernest McCurry, Jackie Dukes, Vera Quinlan; as well as several nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
