Eleanor Dean Walters

Martha Eleanor Dean Walters, 90, of Moultrie, died Thursday, April 8, 2020 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

          Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, private graveside rites will be held Friday, April 10, 2020 at Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens with Dr. David Benton officiating.

          Born January 24, 1930 in Moultrie, she was the daughter of the late William Brooks Dean and Dorothy Luke Dean.  Mrs. Walters was a Moultrie High School graduate and a member of First Baptist Church of Doerun.  She was employed at Ryder Truck Lines in Moultrie and Albany, State Farm Insurance Claims Service in Albany and in 1987 she retired from Southeastern Mortgage Corporation in Albany.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Franklin Walters; brother, William Luke Dean.

          Survivors include her nieces and nephews, John Cole, Jr. and wife Judy, Beth Brown and husband Keith, Carol Ann Black and husband Bill, Bonnie Hall and husband Jim, Russ Alexander and wife Lorraine, Dawn Collier, Bennie Sue Cochran and husband George; several grand-nieces and grand-nephews and other family members.
