Edith L. King, 100, of Moultrie, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Pruitt Health-Sunrise Nursing Home.
A private graveside service will be held in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.
Born January 21, 1921, in Epes, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Joe Allen Luna and Mary Jane Luna. Mrs. King retired from Winn Dixie of Florida as a clerk and was a member of Lakeside Assembly of God. She was a compassionate person who shared her love with others in a role of caregiver for 10 years, and a bluebird at Colquitt Regional Medical Center with 1700 hours of service. Mrs. King enjoyed reading her Bible, arts and crafts and always staying busy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. King; daughters, Myrtle Ruth King and Sandra Marie Howell.
Survivors include her children, Mary Pearce of Moultrie, Georgia, Jerry Paul King of Bartow, Florida; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Mills of Bartow, Florida.
