E. J. Bryant

MOULTRIE, GA – E.J. Bryant, 67, of Moultrie, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 2:00 Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Hopewell Baptist Church with the Reverend Julian Griner officiating.  Interment will follow in Hopewell Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00PM Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Casketbearers will be Chris Bryant, Chad Eunice, Buddy Bryan, Brandon Connell, Michael Connell, and William Boyd.

Born August 28, 1955, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was the son of Lafaie Davis Bryant of Moultrie and the late John Henry “Johnny” Bryant.  Mr. Bryant retired from Riverside Manufacturing Company as a sewing machine mechanic and was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and attended Lifespring Community Church.   He loved his family especially his grandchildren, and was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.  Mr. Bryant was a God-fearing man who enjoyed witnessing to others and serving the Lord however he could. 

In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Carline Connell Bryant of Moultrie; children, James Darrell Bryant of Moultrie, Chris Bryant and wife Mindy of Quitman, Jessica Shirley and fiancé Chad Eunice of Tifton; grandchildren, Chandler Bryant, Ashlyn Bryant, Kitt Bryant, Aiden Bryant, Christian Shirley, Jacob Shirley, Caleb Shirley and Luke Shirley; sister, BJ Kiser of Moultrie; lifelong friend and chosen brother, William Boyd; a number of awesome and supportive family members and friends.
