Moultrie, Georgia – Dorothy Sue Harper, 70, of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center, while surrounded by her family.

She will be laid to rest, along with her husband Ernest “Pete” Harper, at Deep Bottom Cemetery.

Born January 24, 1956, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Sanford Sutton, Sr. and the late Louise Hall Sutton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband or 47 years, Ernest “Pete” Harper; brother, Charles Sutton; and sister, Sandra Sutton Fields.

Survivors include her children, Junior Harper, Ernestine Terrel, Jennifer Hancock and husband Cecil, and Karen Herod of Moultrie; grandchildren, Autumn Golden Bryant and husband Dwight, Christopher Herod, Ryan Herod and Ashley Brown; great-grandchildren, Maelynn Bryant, Alessa Kastelic and Emmett Kastelic; brothers, Sanford Sutton, Jr. and James Sutton; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
