Dorothy Turner Folsom

Dorothy Turner Folsom, 84, of Moultrie, died Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Legacy Village at Park Regency.

          Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, a graveside side service will be held Saturday, May 23, 2020 at Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Andy Cashwell officiating.

          Casketbearers will be Turner Castleberry, Daniel Veal, Jarrod Roberts and Chris Hayden.

          Born September 5, 1935 in Brooks County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Emmerson Crum and Mary Wise Crum.  Mrs. Folsom retired from Riverside Manufacturing Company and a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.    Her family remembers how she loved her family, the church family and was friendly and happy with everyone, no one was a stranger.   She loved life in general, and enjoyed traveling, working outside, fishing and ball games.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph Turner and her second husband, Austin Folsom; five brothers and three sisters.

          Survivors include her daughters, Gay Lynn Pettyjohn and Scott, Diane Hampton and Mike all of Moultrie; son, Jimmy Turner and Daneese of Moultrie; grandchildren, Mary Lynn Hayden and Chris, Stacy Veal and Daniel, Mandy Roberts and Jarrod; great-grandchildren, Turner Castleberry, Walker Story, Carson Hayden, Madelyn Veal, Austin Veal, Maggie Claire Roberts, Mollie Roberts, John Henry Roberts.
