Dorothy "Dottie" Goodman Clements

November 28, 1952 — January 29, 2021

Moultrie- Dorothy (Dottie) Goodman Clements, 68, of Moultrie died Friday, January 29, 2021 at her home after a battle with cancer. A celebration of life will be held at a later time.

          Born on November 28, 1952 in Jacksonville, Florida, Dottie was the daughter of the late Edward Goodman and Helen Brazinton Goodman Perry. She moved to Moultrie at age 7, when her widowed mother married Harris Perry. She graduated from Moultrie High School in 1970. During Christmas break from her freshman year in college, Dottie met Buster Clements and they married June 26, 1971. She was a devoted employee of the Colquitt County Board of Education for 28 years, serving at Willie J. Williams. She received the very first BRAVO award in 2005 for her faithful service.

          Dottie was an avid fisherman and particularly loved time with Buster on the Gulf.  She and Buster were enthusiastic Packer Boosters especially during the 90's when the boys were playing. She loved to play cards and games with her children and grandchildren always making these times fun. She loved to laugh and tell jokes. Dottie was a wonderful cook and loved cooking for her family. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

          In addition to her parents, Dottie was preceded in death by her sister, Debbie Goodman Nixon, son, Grady Clements, and stepfather Harris Perry.

          Mrs. Clements is survived by her husband of 49 years, Allan (Buster) Grady

Clements Ill; son, Harris O'Neal Clements: grandchildren, Helen Sera Clements, AnnElyse Clements, and Andrew Charles Clements, and a host of friends and family.
