Dorothy "Dot" Merle Futch

Dorothy “Dot” Merle Futch, 93, of Norman Park, died Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at Legacy Village at Park Regency.

          Graveside rites will be held 10:00AM Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Mark Hancock officiating.  Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and masks are recommended.

          Born December 20, 1926 in Meigs, GA, she was the daughter of the late Wallace Huey Futch, Sr. and Maggie Mae Curles Futch.  Mrs. Futch was a retired seamstress with Warner Brothers and was of the Baptist faith.  Her family remember how she loved spending time with the family, cooking and traveling.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Martha Hembree; brother, Alf Futch.

          Survivors include her grandchildren, Floyd Davis and wife Katie of Trenton OH, Angel Underhill and husband Gene of Middletown OH; great-grandchildren, Clint, Gene, Olivia, Samantha, Taylor; great-great grandson Emerson;  son-in-law, Jerry Hembree of Moultrie; brother, Eugene “Snow” Futch of Meigs; sisters, Johnnie Mae Gibson of Meigs, Linda Halloway and her late husband Johnny of Thomasville; niece, Marsha Murphy and husband Carl of Moultrie and many more nieces and nephews.
