Dorothy J. Bailey

MOULTRIE, GA – Dorothy J. Bailey, 89, of Moultrie, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, August 29, 2022, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Julian Griner officiating.  Interment will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.

Born November 16, 1932, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Solomon Bozeman and Winnie Isoline Wright Bozeman.   Mrs. Bailey retired as a bookkeeper where she worked at the local JC Penney, Belk, and Holman Supply stores.   She was a fun loving, caring mother and grandmother who adored being with her family playing cards, board games and coloring.   

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Joseph Earl Bozeman, Leola Jackson, Mildred Giles.

Survivors include her daughters, Sherry Bailey, Cathy J. Howard both of Moultrie; grandson, Steven Lamar Meads of Moultrie; great-grandchildren, Colt Sheldon, Cassidy Meads.
