Donnis Elaine Keefe Brown

Donnis Elaine Brown, 83, of Moultrie, passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Legacy Village at Park Regency.

          A memorial service will be held at a later date.

          Born September 16, 1937 in Wheatland, WY, she was the daughter of the late Dewitt Wesley Keefe and Rose Hampton Keefe.  Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Boynton Beach, Florida.  She was a faithful and loyal wife and mother.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed crafting.  Mrs. Brown spent her working years as a daycare provider in her home.  She invested in the lives of young children and felt as if she gave the parents a sense of security.  Mrs. Brown loved her family and grandchildren and gave them all many happy memories.  She will be remembered with love, and her Christmas cookies and fudge will be sorely missed. 

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Sheldon Brown; grandchild, Anthony P. Brown; one brother and three sisters.

          Survivors include her children, Reverend Dion L. Brown and wife Jean of Moultrie, Danielle J. Simmons and husband Scott of Birmingham, AL, Dain M. Brown and wife Lisa of Fleming Island, FL; grandchildren, Aaron T. Brown and wife Sarah, Stephen M. Brown and wife Lissa, Richard “Tres” Ledson III, Mackenzie N. Ledson-Ellwein and husband Austin, Presley C. Simmons, Walker S. Brown, Mason A. Brown, Karley G. Brown and Jay W. Brown; great-grandchildren, Hannah D. Brown, Noah A. Brown, Jonah O. Nelson, Everett D. Nelson.
