Donna Dezerne Thompson

Donna Dezerne Thompson, 68, passed away on May 13, 2022, after a short illness with her family by her side. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

She is survived by her sons; John Robert “Bobbie” Thompson, IV, of Moultrie, James Derreck “Jamie” Thompson of Valdosta; granddaughter, Lilah Thompson of Moultrie; sister, Diane Dezerne Grubbs of Tallahassee, FL and sister-in-law, Gina Thompson of Moultrie.  She is also survived by many loving friends, cousins, nephews, and nieces all over the USA.

Ms. Thompson was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert “Robbie” Thompson III, his parents, “John” Robert Thompson, Jr. and Virginia Thompson all of Moultrie, and her parents, James “Pete” Dezerne, Jr. and Mary Borgioli Dezerne of Tallahassee, Florida.

Ms. Thompson was born in Tallahassee, Florida and moved to Moultrie to be near her husband’s family.  She enjoyed her grandchildren, Country music, and traveling with her sister all over the Southeast part of the United States. She was a 1971 graduate of Rickards High School in Tallahassee, Florida.

The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses in the ICU of Colquitt Regional Medical Center for their kindness and caring help while Ms. Thompson was in their care.
