Diane Coleman Walters

Diane Coleman Walters, 79, of Doerun, passed away Monday, October 18, 2021, at Navicent Health in Macon.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Union Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. David Benton officiating.    The family will greet friends after the service at the cemetery.

Born September 18, 1942, in Doerun, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late L.M. “Buddy” Coleman and Gertrude Taylor Coleman.  Mrs. Walters was a graduate of Doerun High School.  She retired from Coats and Clark in Albany with 40 years of service holding various office positions.  At the time of retirement, she was the supervisor of payroll and insurance.   Mrs. Walters was a member of First Baptist Church of Doerun and was a church pianist for 40 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, James O. Walters; brother, Ronald “Bubba” Coleman.

Survivors include her daughters, Stacey Brunston and husband Robby of Hahira, Kristen Stallings and husband Ricky of Doerun; grandchildren, Addie Brunston, Lee Brunston, Caleb Brunston, Lexi Stallings and Luke Stallings.
