Debra Sue Allen Barfield

MEIGS, GA.- Debra Sue Allen Barfield, 60, of Meigs, passed away on January 4, 2024, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.

Born December 10, 1963, in Tampa, FL, she was the daughter of the late Walter Jackson Allen, Jr. and Betty Joe Prince Marshall.  Mrs. Barfield had a sweet soul and was always willing to help others.  She loved people with her whole heart and would stick with people to the end of any ordeal, good or bad.  Mrs. Barfield loved reading her Bible, fishing, and drinking her Diet Cokes.  She will be missed by her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carson Barfield, siblings, Joe Allen, Walter Earl Allen, and Millie Cross.

Survivors include her daughter, Jessica Bostwick and significant other, Roy Wilson; sister, Janet Dorminey and husband, David; family members, Beth Curby, Stephen “Casey” Allen, Catherine and Danny Arrington, Toni and Roman Harrison, Tessa Wilson and J’Mario Walker, Johnny Cross; 7 great-nieces and great-nephews; 1 great-great-nephew; and numerous extended family members and friends.   

Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
