Aldwin Dean Thomas, 78, of Moultrie, died Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. Funeral service will be held 10:00AM Monday, August 10, 2020 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ron Shiver officiating. Interment will be in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens. Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and masks are recommended. Casket bearers will be Geoffrey Kudela, Hayden Kudela, Seth Thomas-Kudela, Tyler Brooks, Ray Williams, Steven Barrow, Bryant Cope, Ryan Golden. Honorary casket bearers will be the Friends of Country Corner Café. Born April 25, 1942 in Moultrie, he was the son of the late Mae Collins Thomas. Mr. Thomas retired from Cope Rendering Company as a plant manager and was of the Baptist faith. His family remembers how he loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, hunting and being a mechanic. In addition to his mother Mae Collins Thomas, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Leila Sullivan Thomas. Survivors include his children Deana Radcliff and husband Tim, Chris Kudela and wife Nancy, Kent Kudela and wife Rhonda, Steven Kudela and wife Ginger all of Moultrie; grandchildren, Shanae Bartlett and husband Courtland, Geoffrey Kudela and wife Bonnie, Whitney Parsons and husband Rick, Emily Thomas-Kudela, Tabatha Brooks and husband Tyler, Seth Thomas Kudela, Hayden Kudela and wife Rebecca, Dr. Hana Barrow and husband Steven, Ryan Golden, Lexie Williams and husband Ray; thirteen great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Shiflett of Moultrie; several very special friends and numerous other family members.
