David Christopher Wyatt I

David Christopher Wyatt I, 61, of Orange, TX, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at his home.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 4, 2021, at Sardis Cemetery with Pastor Steve Shierling and Mr. Pete Wyatt officiating.

Born October 9, 1959, he was son of the Howard Wade Wyatt, Sr. and Carra Frances Croft Tillman.  Mr. Wyatt held several jobs in his lifetime, he was a painter/sandblaster at Levingston Shipyard, tree surgeon at Aspen Tree Company in Orange, Texas, Biggen Tree Company in Fernandina Beach, Florida.  Mr. Wyatt was a rail corman at Rescar Rail Car Repair, and Schumann Railcar Repair both in Orange, Texas.  He was a boat builder at Bayliner Boats and a machine operator at Drumhellor both in Valdosta, Georgia.  Mr. Wyatt was a farmer in Pavo, Georgia and a school janitor at Brooks County School in Quitman, Georgia.   He loved working in the tree service.  Mr. Wyatt loved being around his family and friends and was a precious soul.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was considered a very good handyman.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Marlie Tillman; maternal grandparents, Ila and Alvin Croft; paternal grandparents, Myrtle and Dewey Wyatt; brothers, Howard Wyatt, Jr. and Joseph Wyatt.

Survivors include his children, Christopher David Tillman II and wife Jennifer of Dixie, Georgia, Kelly Metzger and husband William of Lincoln, Alabama, Brittany Wyatt, Brandon Wyatt both of Jacksonville, Florida; grandchildren, Alyssa Tillman, Abilene Tillman, Delila Tillman, Aubrey Tillman, Trent Williford, Meagan Williford, Emory Williford, Chelsea Williford, Ashton Metzger, Haydon Metzger, Wyatt Metzger; brother, Daniel “Pete” Wyatt and wife Peggy of Orange, Texas; sister, Jean Hodges and husband Ronnie of Hilliard, Florida; catahoula leopard beloved dog, Buddy, several nieces, nephews and other family members.
