HARTSFIELD, GA- Florrie Darlene Cooper, 74, of Hartsfield, passed away Friday, October 28, 2022, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 30, 2022, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Johnny Cooper officiating. Interment will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-1:45 PM Sunday at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
Honorary casketbearers will be Bruce Cooper, Bradley Cooper Giddens, Robbie Kearce, Chris Broome, Keith Kidd, and Erin Barnes.
Born March 12, 1948, in Colquitt County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late H. S. “Bud” Strickland and Florrie Hazel Hobbs Strickland. Mrs. Cooper retired from Tift General Hospital as a registered nurse and was a member of Pineland Baptist Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mrs. Cooper enjoyed her life, spending time with her family and was an excellent cook. She was a talented musician who began playing the piano at church at an early age.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jessica Lakin Watson.
Survivors include her husband, Reverend Johnny W. Cooper of Hartsfield; children, Kimberley Darlene Kidd and husband Keith, Bruce Wayne Cooper and fiancée Cindy Warren; grandchildren, Bradley Wayne Cooper Giddens and Amanda and Everly, Ashley Darlene Cooper, Haley Monteen Cooper, Abby Lynn Cooper, Marcus Alexander Cooper; eighteen great-grandchildren; sister, Dianne Broome; numerous extended family members and friends.
