Dale Steven Worsham

Dale Steven Worsham, 64, of Moultrie, Georgia, peacefully entered his heavenly home on Friday, September 3, 2021, at Northside Hospital in Gwinnett County.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Rev. Scott Toon and Rev. Dion Brown officiating.  Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery in Meigs, Georgia. 

Casketbearers will be Bennie Lofton, Kervin “Bunk” Williams, Don Johnson, Jeff Worsham, Chris Worsham, and Dr. Woody Weeks.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening at Cobb Funeral Chapel from 5:00-7:00 PM.  For the safety of all, the family requests that masks be worn to visitation and the service. 

Born May 1, 1957, in Camilla, Georgia, he was the son of Wallace Ervin Worsham and Elsie Elizabeth Lofton Worsham.  Mr. Worsham was a 1976 graduate of Ravenwood Academy where he enjoyed playing football.  He was an industrial electrician, having previously worked with Albany Electric/Metro Power.  Always wearing a big smile, he was known as a loving, kind-hearted family man who truly adored his wife, children, and grandchildren.  He enjoyed tinkering and working on things, as staying busy was his joy.  He was gifted with the talent of writing beautiful poetry and stories.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Eugene and Murray Worsham.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Sealy Gay Worsham; children, Jessica Barrett and husband Coby of Lee County, Georgia, Celia Worsham and fiancé Matt Wiltfong of Moultrie, Britini Gay Bullard and husband Paul of Doerun, Brandon Gay and fiancé Laura Bibeault of Bay, Georgia; grandchildren, Kayden and Addison Creech, Logan Wiltfong, Hayden, Hudson, and Lena Grace Bullard, Flint Gay, Jacob and Jolie Bibeault; brother, Danny Worsham and wife Maddie of Bridgeboro, Georgia; brothers-in-law, Burney Sealy, Jr. of Meigs, Joey Sealy and special friend Cindy Nalley of Augusta; sisters-in-law, Linda Worsham, Nell Worsham; caregiver and special friend, Kim Hart; and numerous nieces and nephews.
