Moultrie, Georgia – Claudette “Peggy” Dunn Hatcher, 78, of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025, at her residence, while surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, January 2, 2026, at Cobb Funeral Chapel, with the Reverend Billy “PeeWee” Wilkes officiating. Interment will follow at Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 2:45 PM, Friday, January 2, 2026, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
Casketbearers will be her grandchildren.
Born May 25, 1947, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Claudis Dunn and the late Lorene Alderman Dunn.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Randall Hatcher; sister, Jo Ann Dunn Deal; brother, Don L. Dunn; and stepfathers, Rufus “Buck” Edwards and Charlie Ben Swicord.
Survivors include her daughters, Mary Hatcher Pipkin and husband, Shawn and Amanda Hatcher McMullen and husband, Joe; grandchildren, Ryan Pipkin and wife, Madison, Reid Pipkin, Katie Hatcher, Karlie McMullen and Daniel Scott; great-grandchildren, Jaxon Pipkin, Evelyn Pipkin and Walker Pipkin; brother, James Dunn and wife, Eve; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
She was a talented seamstress for many years, having worked at both Wolverine and Riverside Manufacturing Company. She had been attending Doerun Church of God, loved the Lord and enjoyed shopping. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.
Memorial contributions may made to Regency SouthernCare Hospice.
