Clarice Herndon Hart

Clarice Herndon Hart, 95, of Berlin, died Thursday, July 30, 2020 at the Willow Lodge in Moultrie.

          Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Boykin officiating.  Interment will be in Sardis Cemetery.  Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and masks are recommended.

          Born July 31, 1924, in Pavo, GA, she was the daughter of the late James Columbus Herndon and Mae Watson Herndon.   Mrs. Hart retired from Sunstate as an inspector and was of the Baptist faith. 

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joel Chantler Hart; two grandsons and one great-grandchild.

          Survivors include her children, Charlie “Gene” Hart and wife Janie of Moultrie, Margie Hart Owens and husband Gerald of Rainsville, AL, Joel “Randall” Hart and wife Jan of Berlin, James “Lavon” Hart of Berlin; nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
