Charles David Stith, 87, of Moultrie, died Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Legacy Village - Park Regency.
Due to COVID-19 and sincere wishes for everyone to stay safe, the family has not scheduled a visitation and extends their appreciation for thoughts and prayers. Private family graveside rites will be held 4:00 P.M. Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.
Born February 21, 1933 in Moultrie GA, he was the son of the late Charles S. Stith and Bessie M. Clark Stith. Mr. Stith was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force, and a retired owner of construction and house moving businesses. He had a strong work ethic, believed in helping others, and was a Christian of Baptist faith. He enjoyed baseball, car racing, flying, and feeding any cat who needed a home.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Mary Jo Morris Stith, and an infant son.
Survivors include his daughters, Charlotte Smith and husband C. W. of Moultrie; Cindi Lewis and husband Gordon of Jacksonville, FL and Moultrie; grandsons, Chaz Smith and Conner Smith both of Moultrie; granddaughters, Candace Ravis and husband Ray of Jacksonville, FL, McKenna Veiga and husband Tony of Jacksonville Beach FL; great-grandsons, Jackson Ravis and Alex Ravis of Jacksonville, FL and Ethan Veiga of Jacksonville Beach, FL; sister-in-law, Ann Fuller of Moultrie; nephews, Jerry Fuller and Ben Fuller and other special family members.
The family shares a special appreciation to the caring professionals at Hospice, Legacy Village, and Cobb Funeral Chapel.
