Charles Elmer Dozier

MOULTRIE, GA – Charles Elmer Dozier, 94, of Moultrie, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2023, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Greg Roberts officiating. Interment, with military honors, will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday at Cobb Funeral Chapel. Born November 7, 1928, in Colquitt County Georgia, he was the son of the late Charlie Crisp Dozier and Mary Ellen Gordon Dozier. Mr. Charles retired from Riverside Manufacturing Company as a sewing machine mechanic and was a member of Liberty Faith Holiness Church. He was a United States Army Veteran and loved his family and enjoyed attending family reunions. Mr. Charles liked going fishing, hunting and eating breakfast with the morning crew at Hardee’s. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lona Faye Bell Dozier; son, Craig Dozier; siblings, Ethel Horne, Lorene Cook, Jack Dozier. Survivors include his son, Mike Dozier and Suzanne of Norman Park; grandchildren, Matt Dozier and Hope, Alicia Dunn and Chris, Michael Dozier and Jessie; great-grandchildren, Emily Rodriguez and Rick, Rikki Manley and Justin, Sara Dunn, Devin Dunn, Layla Dozier, Paxton Dozier; special friend, Bobby Harris.
