Cathy Jean Asbell Burnsed

           Cathy Jean Asbell Burnsed, 58, of Moultrie, died Saturday, November 7, 2020 at her home.

           The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.

          Born January 8, 1962 in Berlin, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Alvin Vernon Asbell and Opal Mae Johnson Asbell. She formerly worked with patient transportation at Turning Point Hospital.  She and her late husband were well known for playing Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus for many years.  Mrs. Burnsed was a member of Lakeside Assembly of God, where she was active in the Feed the Hungry Program. Her family remembers how she loved to spoil children and was always willing to help anyone in need.

          She was preceded in death by her husband, Carson Rene Burnsed.

          Survivors include one daughter, Alice Burnsed and fiancée Frances Carol Walker of Moultrie; one son, James Vernon Burnsed of Moultrie; one brother, Frankie Asbell and wife Patsy of Graceville, Fl.; six grandchildren, Angel Wilson, Layla Wilson, Joshua Wilson, Elias Bennett, Jasmine Willoughby and Gymma Tucker.
