Meigs, Georgia – Carolyn Deen White, 79, of Meigs, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at her residence, surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, May 9, 2026, at New Bethel Baptist Church in Meigs, Georgia, with the Reverend Klay Luke officiating. Interment will be New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:00 PM, Friday, May 8, 2026, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
Casketbearers will be Bubba White, Jody White, Marcus White, Robbie West, Gene Singletary, John Redmond, Randy Harrell and Russ Luke.
Born June 9, 1946, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Homer Seal Deen and the late Carrie Stanfill Deen.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Joel Kleman White; grandson, Kurt Lee White; brother, Clifford M. Deen; and many beloved sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Survivors include her children, Keith White and wife, Barbara, Kris White and wife, Courtney, and Kim White; grandchildren, Gabrielle White, Kaitlyn White, Kassie Jo White, Kerra White, Joel White, Kyle White, Megan White and Blake White; several great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Deen Baker; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends.
Carolyn was a proud graduate of Moultrie High School and loved listening to the Packers play football on Friday nights. A dedicated homemaker, she also worked as a Medical Records Secretary for Archbold Hospital and the McIntosh Clinic. She was a faithful member of New Bethel Baptist Church and served as a Sunday School Teacher for many years. She loved babies and children and could often be found on the living room floor playing with a grandchild, niece or nephew. Her family fondly recalls sharing many meals and laughs around her table.
Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to Colquitt Regional Hospice, 415 Rowland Drive, Moultrie, Georgia 31768.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
