Carolyn Rentz

Carolyn Brown Rentz, age 80, of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022. Carolyn was born January 24, 1942 in Moultrie, Georgia to the late William Hall and Winnie Strange Brown. Carolyn was an RN and worked for ATC Nursing Agency in Riverdale for many years. She also owned and operated The Wonder Years Daycare for 21 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Locust Grove and the UDC Frankie Lyle Chapter #2074 in Jonesboro. She and her husband, Sam enjoyed traveling the world together including trips to the Holy Land. Carolyn loved working on her ancestry and playing the piano. Survivors include her husband of nearly 62 years, Sam Rentz; children, Angelina Rentz Mitchell of Locust Grove, Sam Norman (Teresa) Rentz, Jr. of Euharlee, Jeffrey Alan Rentz of McDonough and Andrew Stephen (Jennifer) Rentz of Sugar Hill; grandchildren, Nathan Mitchell, Nolan Mitchell, Ashton Mitchell, Beau (Lauren) Rentz, Benji (Rachel) Rentz, Austin Rentz, Katie Rentz and Sydney Rentz; sister, Shirley (Danny) Williford of Griffin; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may visit the family Saturday, April 23, 2022 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Haisten Funeral Home, 1745 Zack Hinton Pkwy. S., McDonough, GA 30253. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 25, 2022 at 11:00 am in the Cobb Funeral Chapel, 2441 Camilla Hwy., Moultrie, GA 31768 with Dr. Ed Hoard officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery in Moultrie. Friends may visit the family Monday one hour prior to the service.
