Carolyn Wynelle Brown

Moultrie, Georgia – Carolyn Wynelle Brown, 90, of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Southern Oaks Personal Care Home surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Cobb Funeral Chapel, with her grandson, Gregory Ryan Brown officiating. Private family interment will be at Oakdale Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends and family from 1:00 until 1:45 PM, Sunday, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Born January 27, 1935, in Carrollton, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late William Emanuel Barnes and the late Viola Lavonia Striplin Barnes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Walton Brown; and siblings, Eugene Harvey Barnes, Stanley William Barnes, Betty Jo Barnes Causey, William Bazel Barnes, Gary Barnes and Cary Barnes.

She was a faithful member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Moultrie, was a talented seamstress, enjoyed cooking, but most importantly, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Thomas Gregory Brown, grandchildren, Gregory Ryan Brown and wife, Heather Reynolds Brown and Ashley Suzanne Fountain; great-grandchildren, Bailee Thomas Fountain, Robert Edward Brown and Davis Ryan Brown; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
